It’s A Baby Boom At bareMinerals HQ
It should come as no surprise that working at a company filled with women there are a lot of soon-to-be moms. There’s practically an ‘I’m pregnant’ announcement happening every week. (Insert squeal here.) So how do you throw an awesome work baby shower that is unique and special…without breaking the bank each and every time? It’s all about the little details.
Meet Sarah D., Senior Global Copywriter (and glowing future mama). She’ll soon be going out on maternity leave, so we threw a wild zoo-themed shower in her honor. What can we say? We’re such party animals here at bareMinerals HQ. So how did we pull it off? Below are some quick tips when planning your a fun and fabulous work baby shower.
Theme It Up
We took party inspiration from Sarah’s adorable nursery. We had animal crackers as party favors (yes, the ones in the cute zoo boxes), pop-up table decorations, a toy cheetah and monkey, oh my. Tip: Find out if the mama-to-be has a nursery theme or just cater the party to something she loves… like chocolate.
Gift Cards Are Your BFF
All new moms need to get so much stuff to get ready for the new baby, make it easy on her with a gift card she can spend on anything and everything. Tip: Pool together money instead of getting her a bunch of little things. Plus, lugging home a gift card from work is much easier than a highchair.
Divide & Conquer
One person doesn’t have to do it all. Tip: Divide up the duties. One person brings the food. Someone else grabs the seltzer water. Another is in charge of decorations. You work together as a team from 9 to 5, why should the shower be any different?
