National Sleepover Day Takes Over Times Square

How was your National Sleepover Day? Ours was pretty amazing, if we may say so ourselves. Yes, May 9, 2017 was a memorable one as we teamed up with Cosmopolitan, Sephora and Olivia Culpo to host the ultimate slumber party—right in the middle of New York’s Times Square.

The guest of honor was our Original Foundation, which is makeup so pure you can actually fall asleep in it—without clogging pores or causing breakouts. It was this fact that inspired us to set up a giant, dreamy bedroom on Broadway complete with vanities, flowers, a pillow-packed bed, and all the mineral makeup you could ever dream of.

Our team was on hand (in pink #sleepinthebare bathrobes) to guide guests through the ultimate slumber party. The first step was a makeover, of course, and our artists listened to countless women talk about their makeup needs, passions and frustrations to ensure that each one walked away feeling and looking like her best self. After lots of swirling, tapping and buffing, guests were in for some good old fashioned pillow talk—everyone has a good secret, and the ladies were invited to bare it all, creating custom pillow cases with their confessions. Some of our favorites were the fearless ambitions (“I’m gonna be the Kylie Jenner of nursing”) and sweet secrets (“Peanut butter is my kryptonite!” Olivia divulged). When Olivia wasn’t chatting with fans or jumping on the bed, she talked makeup and slumber parties with Cosmo’s Chief Beauty Director Leah Wyar and you don’t want to miss that candid conversation (hint: she’s totally a dare person).
