3 Smoothie Bowl Recipes to Start Your Morning Right

From Pinterest to Instagram, smoothies have been taking over our feeds for quite some time.  But what if we said there’s a new treat in town?  Smoothie bowls are the new “it” breakfast food. Not only do they pack the same nutrition as smoothies, but they also make room for even more beautiful garnishes that’ll make your skin glow. Here are three simple smoothie bowl recipes to kick off your morning:

Earthy Good

Ingredients:

– Very Green juice from Trader Joe’s
– 3 tbsp. vanilla greek yoghurt
– 1 small ripe avocado
– 1 tbsp. sliced almonds
– 1 tbsp. pumpkin seeds
– 1 tbsp. hemp seeds
– 2 tbsp. fresh blueberries

Instructions:

Pour juice in an ice tray to make 4 cubes. Let it sit overnight, and drop the cubes in a blender to blend with yoghurt and avocado. Serve in a bowl and use the almonds, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds and blueberries for garnish.

Berry Blast

Ingredients:

– Power Berry juice from Trader Joe’s
– 3 tbsp. plain greek yoghurt
– 1 banana
– 3 strawberries
– 2 tbsp. fresh granola
– 1 tbsp. hemp seeds
– 1 tbsp. sliced almonds
– 1 tbsp. pumpkin seeds
– 3 tbsp. chia seeds

Instructions:

Pour juice in an ice tray to make 4 cubes. Let it sit overnight, and drop the cubes in a blender to blend with yoghurt, banana, and chia seeds. Serve in a bowl and use the strawberries, granola, almonds, pumpkin seeds and hemp seeds for garnish.

Cocoa Love

Ingredients:

– Plain greek yoghurt
– 1 medjool date
– 1 banana
– 1 tbsp. cocoa
– 2 drops vanilla extract
– 1 tbsp. sliced almonds
– 3 strawberries
– 3 tbsp. chia seeds
– 1 tsp. peanut butter
– 1 tbsp. hemp seeds
– 1 tbsp. sliced almonds
– 1 tsp. dark chocolate chips

Instructions:

Pour plain greek yoghurt in an ice tray to make 6 cubes. Let it sit over night, and then drop the cubes in a blender to blend with the dates (make sure they’re pitted), half of the banana, chia seeds, cocoa, and vanilla extract. Serve in a bowl and garnish with dark chocolate chips, strawberries, hemp seeds, sliced almonds, chia seeds and drizzle with peanut butter. You can get as artistic as you want.
