Dare to Make a Statement: How to Pick a Bold Lip Color

Welcome one and all to the summer of Statement Lip. In case you missed it, we just launched the boldest new lip colors to fill out your wardrobe. We’re talking intense, fearless lipcolor for when you have something bold to say. But when you’re used to the best nude lipstick that you can wear every single day, how do you find the right statement look? Well, that’s what we’re here for.

If you love a pink nude lip…

You’re in luck: the Statement Lip family has many pinks to choose from. From left to right: Luxe is a dusky, matte pastel pink, while Fresh is a bold, warm matte pastel pink. For a glossy finish, try the peachy pink Tease, or Biba, a super fun bubblegum pink.

If you love a mauve nude lip…

Berries are in a similar color family to our mauve Gen Nude shades. Try Flawless, a matte muted plum for a subtly striking look, or go full drama with Devious, a rich burgundy matte lipcolor and NSFW, a blackened plum with shine.

If you love a peach nude lip…

Fire is (obviously) a fiery orange red Matte Liquid Lipcolor shade, or try the glossy Flash, a warm coral red Luxe-Shine Lipstick.

Our pale beiges create edgy nude looks, so go wild with a modern red lip. These color families look very different but they both include warm and cool tones, which is how you should navigate finding your best red lipstick shade. If your beige is on the warm side, try matte liquid lipcolor in Juicy. A little cooler? Go for Naughty, a deep matte oxblood red.
