24 Hours with BAREPRO – Part I

What’s one unexpected thing you carry with you all day and all night?
Not so unexpected: it’s my phone.

In your life and line of work, what makes a 24-hour foundation so important?
There are some days when I need to rely on my skin looking its best. I might be shooting content, going to important meetings or out to events and I simply don’t have time to touch up, nor do I want to be. I have to rely on my foundation to hold. To find something that works and that I can count on is a god send and it’s one less thing for me to think about.

What’s your favorite day-to-night makeup trick?
Creating a brown smokey eye on top of a daytime makeup look always does the trick to turn it into something with a bit more wow factor for the evening.

If you could give your teenage self one piece of beauty advice what would it be?
Take your makeup off before going to bed, always!

If you could spend 24 hours in any city where would you go and what would you do?
Right now, I want to be in the warmth of Capri. Jumping off boats, lying in the sun and sipping on spritz.

What’s one unexpected thing you carry with you all day and all night?
BAREPRO Liquid Foundation for sure: it’s the foundation that I can carry from day to night. With papaya enzyme, it helps by exfoliating and it benefits my skin while I wear it throughout the day!  It’s just so cool and amazing! 

In your life and line of work, what makes a 24-hour foundation so important?
As I am an athlete, it is extremely important that the foundation is heat and sweat resistant, so that I don’t need to worry about my foundation from time to time!

What’s your favorite day-to-night makeup trick?
Natural makeup is my favorite as I’m always busy with training! A lipstick is my must-have item if I need to transform into night makeup.

If you could give your teenage self one piece of beauty advice what would it be?
Don’t let cosmetics take over your natural beauty and rely completely on them! Pick a foundation that could improve the healthiness and beauty of your skin, not just cover up the imperfections.

If you could spend 24 hours in any city where would you go and what would you do?
Paris, city of romance. I’d take lots of photos there (especially with Eiffel Tower) and enjoy the local culture which is totally different from Hong Kong.

If you could give your teenage self one piece of beauty advice what would it be?
Drink more water and do more exercise.

In your life and line of work, what makes a 24-hour foundation so important?
It’s important to have a perfect base makeup for 24 hours, because you will never know when will you meet the one.

What’s your favorite day-to-night makeup trick?
I’ll add some liner to my lash line and smudge with my finger tips to create a soft smoky eye.

If you could spend 24 hours in any city where would you go and what would you do?
 I would like to go to Iceland. Just do nothing: stare at the starry sky together with the Northern Lights.

If you could give your teenage self one piece of beauty advice what would it be?
Always remember to put sunscreen and avoid being exposed to sunshine directly! I love summer and sunshine. When I was young, I always went out at 2pm under strong sunlight without any protection. Though I don’t have any big skin issues now I know those negative impacts on skin will come to me eventually. So if I could give my teenage self one piece of beauty advice, I would strongly recommend using a sunscreen with high SPF as well as cosmetics with SPF to prevent the signs of aging.

In your life and line of work, what makes a 24-hour foundation so important?
I used to underestimate the importance of a long-lasting foundation. I thought it was alright for a foundation to last for only few hours as I can touch up anytime. But recently, I realize how essential it is for a foundation to be constant and enduring since I often participate in events and do not have enough time to do touch up. I need a foundation that is long-lasting (especially in summer) and can provide good coverage while still looking natural to fit into my busy blogger life!

What’s your favorite day-to-night makeup trick?
A vibrant lipstick is the key! Your whole face is polished and the total look changes with this magic tool!

If you could spend 24 hours in any city where would you go and what would you do?
If I could spend 24 hours in any city, I would like to go to Paris and stay at a book store. I love reading! There are many themed bookstores, where all the books are well sorted and selected. Recently, I fall in love with one bookstore—I thought it was a coffee shop at first, but then I found out it is a nice bookstore with the third floor filling with lots of design and fashion books. It keeps playing my my favorite music, fusion jazz, and sometimes even becomes a jazz party.

What’s one unexpected thing you carry with you all day and all night?
Some aroma oil so that I can refresh anytime!

In your life and line of work, what makes a 24-hour foundation so important?
Whenever I go out all day long, it’s ideal to wear as I don’t need to worry skin damage. Also convenient when I go to gym for a workout!

What’s your favorite day-to-night makeup trick?
Contour make up is my MUST.

If you could give your teenage self one piece of beauty advice what would it be?
Don’t make my eyebrows too thin.

If you could spend 24 hours in any city where would you go and what would you do?
I want to go to the sea, relax and read books.

What’s one unexpected thing you carry with you all day and all night?
GUMMIES! When I feel hungry, I like to have gummies—Japanese gummies are very tasty!

In your life and line of work, what makes a 24-hour foundation so important?
My skin is combination and easy to breakout when I wear usual foundation. BAREPRO liquid is very reliable with 24-hour longwear when I go to workout.

If you could give your teenage self one piece of beauty advice what would it be?
Choose shade matched color foundation and don’t wear it thick in order to cover your pimples. Natural finish is the best.

What’s your favorite day-to-night makeup trick?
I love black eyeliner! I change length and thickness depending on my mood.

If you could spend 24 hours in any city where would you go and what would you do?
I want to go abroad where nobody knows me. Maybe Cancun, Mexico. I like dancing. I want to dance to a Latin rhythm on the beach!

What’s one unexpected thing you carry with you all day and all night?
I never go out without my glasses and contact lenses in my bag. I know that it is very unusual to have both but I do not want to make compromises in taking the best selfie.

In your life and line of work, what makes a 24-hour foundation so important?
In my daily life I always have to be photo ready. For a perfect Instagram situation there is rarely time for an extensive fresh-up. Therefore I need a perfect long lasting foundation and the makeup must be spot on.

If you could give your teenage self one piece of beauty advice what would it be?
Never use foundation or skincare with unnecessary chemical additives.

If you could spend 24 hours in any city where would you go and what would you do?
Istanbul would be my city of choice. I love to spend the whole day on the Bosporus drinking tea and admiring the wonderful view. Afterwards I would enjoy the delicious Turkish food and lively nightlife. There is something to discover on every corner.

What’s one unexpected thing you carry with you all day and all night?
My phone? How boring. But it’s on me pretty much 24/7!

In your life and line of work, what makes a 24-hour foundation so important?
Running around after three kids, trying to fit in workouts around breastfeeding, walking dogs and filming videos totally calls for a 24-hour long lasting foundation.

What’s your favorite day-to-night makeup trick?
Add winged liner and a bit of shimmery highlight to instantly feel more glam.

If you could give your teenage self one piece of beauty advance what would it be?
Look after your skin! And less is definitely more with makeup.

If you could spend 24 hours in any city where would you go and what would you do?
I would go into London and be a tourist for the day. Visit the V&A Museum, go on the London Eye, see a musical in the West End. Go shopping…
