A Behind-the-Scenes Peek at Our Metallic Campaign Looks

To help you on your metallic way, we’re giving you a behind-the-scenes look at our GEN NUDE Metallic Collection campaign looks. We asked Carly Giglio (@carlygiglio), Global Makeup Artist at bareMinerals, to break down the looks, step by step, so you can recreate each one. Layer on more product for a customized-level of impact or mix shades for your preferred molten-metallic shine, and remember: there’s no wrong way to play.

The Monochromatic Metallic Look

For the Face:

• BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation SPF 20 (Leila’s shade is Clove 28)
• GEN NUDE Powder Blush in shade You Had Me At Merlot

For the Eyes:

• GEN NUDE Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow in shade Fire Agate
• LASHTOPIA Mega Volume Mineral-Based Mascara

For the Lips:

• GEN NUDE Metallic Patent Lip Lacquer in shade Amber

Application Tips:

• How to apply the liquid eyeshadow, use the applicator to swipe it on from your lash line up towards your crease. Use the point of the applicator to create an elongated shape to the eye. Then, use the Shade & Diffuse Eye Brush to blend and diffuse the edges.
• For the powder blush, use the Seamless Shaping and Finish brush to very lightly dust a subtle wash of color on your cheeks. Using a fluffy brush like this helps to keep the pigment soft so it doesn’t compete with the bold lip and eye in this look.

For the Face:

Application Tips:

• To build up the eye color and shine intensity, layer the shadow in the center of your eye.
• For the eyeliner, lightly draw a line across your top lash line starting from the outside, moving inward. Do the same on your lower lash line. Then, use your fingertip to diffuse and blend the line into the eyeshadow.
• To subtly sculpt your face, apply bronzer with the Seamless Shaping & Finish Brush to the hollows of your cheek bones, sweeping inward.
