If you’re applying it over a lip color, I would recommend not doing a full glob of product. Instead, do a small sweep in the center of your lips and press outward to blend with your finger. That way, you get all the color payoff of the lipstick and the shine of the gloss. You want to avoid swiping on the gloss as you normally would, as this can move around your lip color underneath as well as oversaturate the color.
