As a member of the bareMinerals community, you know our mission goes beyond makeup. Not only are we here to help people feel good about themselves with mineral-based skincare and makeup products, we want to help you make a positive impact on the world. That’s why we create clean, conscious beauty that’s good to your skin, good for the community and good to the planet. 

We truly feel it is our purpose to help you look good, feel good and do good. Read on to discover more about these three pillars that are at the core of everything we do.

Look Good

What sets our clean skincare and makeup apart is that it’s tested, proven to perform and actually improves your skin. We’re also 100% cruelty-free — always have been, always will be. 

We’re also committed to providing effective formulas using clean, ethically sourced ingredients. Already, we’ve restricted over 2,500 ingredients, including the 1,400+ banned in the E.U. Plus, 71% of our formulas are vegan, including every new product since 2020. But it doesn’t stop there — by end of 2021, all products we produce will be vegan. We also plan to be an industry leader in clean formulations, continually pushing our own standards forward to create products that are safe, responsible, and proven to improve for your skin.

Feel Good

We’re passionate about helping people feel good. We inspire confidence by creating products you can trust — there’s no need to compromise on performance or ingredients — and by sharing skincare, makeup and artistry that are truly approachable. Everyone is welcome in our global barebeauties community; it’s an inclusive space for people to share looks, make connections and start conversations.

Do Good for People

Giving back is at the heart of our brand. In April 2019, we started The Power of Good Fund by bareMinerals to support women’s empowerment. Our focus is education, as girls who receive equal access to education go on to earn higher incomes, have a voice in making decisions that affect them, and are more likely to lead healthier lives. 

At the start of 2021, we announced our partnership with two incredible, education-focused nonprofit organizations: Room to Read and Girls Who Code. “We want to empower women and girls around the world by making sure they have the educational resources, tools and support they need to reach their full potential — and we know that Room to Read and Girls Who Code are dedicated to these causes,” says Jill Scalamandre, President of bareMinerals.

Do Good for the Planet 

Giving back to the planet is essential. That’s why we’re working to minimize our use of plastic and virgin materials. So far, we’ve transitioned our cartons to use FSC-certified paper from responsibly managed forests and introduced makeup bags made from recycled plastic bottles. By 2026, 100% of products will have packaging that includes recycled and/or recyclable materials and we have even more changes in the works — we can’t wait to share in the coming months!
